As a young individual, I have perceived with eyes a lot of things gone with its flow and ascertained so much from it. With all these things I able to let my eyes opened wide and truly witnessed the various twists and turns made by innovation. But however there are things that made me curious what if we'll contemplate beyond what already exists and emanate with a brand new concept - a concept that draws attention for elucidation.
Introducing you here "Equation-al Clock", the above image that somehow in little ways will help you to love Math. Technically I don't know the clock making process but I just want to have this clock's design or background. I named this as "Equation-al Clock" because all you can see are equations dealing with numbers and variables. FEAR NOT, because the answers of the equations correspond to the actual clock's hours as what other clocks manifested:
 1  2  3  4  5  6   8  9 111 12
I know having this amazing clock is very pragmatic because aside from its primary purpose which is showing the accurate time, it will encourage you to solve Mathematical problems because whenever you will glance on the clock you will immediately saw these equations. Through this kind of clock, you will be immune by numbers and later on you will be able to relinquish from your Math phobia.

Yes! I strongly agree that "Math requires the use of analytic reasoning and critical thinking skills. It’s not enough to just read and understand concepts, students must also be able to apply those concepts to solve problems.", the striking statements indicated from AdultLearn. So, with the aid of this clock, you can practice solving equations regardless that you know already the answers. (NOTE: Equation-al Clock can be in different designs or backgrounds not actually same as the above representation. In fact you can have your own Equation-al clock but the clock's hours must be in a Mathematical equation)

Nevertheless, at this point, I will ask you.
  1. Have you seen this clock's design already out on the market? If not, will this clock's design possible?
  2. What will be your rate of this concept of having this new clock's design or background? Choices will be BAD, GOOD and EXCELLENT. Why?

  • wow..this is fascinating.. :)

    1. Have you seen this clock's design already out on the market? If not, will this clock's design possible?

    I haven't seen this clock's design yet on the market, and yes, this clock's design is possible, just like people say, anything is possible! :D

    2. What will be your rate of this concept of having a new clock's design or background? Choices will be BAD, GOOD and EXCELLENT. Why?

    I'll rate this as EXCELLENT, because in your post, you have convinced me well that this clock's design could really help us be immune to numbers, and practice solving equations regardless that you know already the answers. :D

  • this could be useful in school...

    but it seems a little complicating xD

  • Whaaaat?!!? Hahaha! After seeing that clock, I was like.. *dizzy* Give me 6 hours to solve that one! LOL!

  • haha. i saw this clock on facebook, it's very interesting. i say, fear not math-haters. the equations are very easily solved.

    although i can't resist pointing out: the 9 isn't exactly 9 since pi isn't exactly 3.14.

  • @NIce: Thanks, superb!

  • @NIck: YEah kinda, but if you will see deeply..Its fine..!

    @Bianca: Hahaha

    @Aryan: Yeah actually its on facebook, I cant give the courtesy knowing it was tagged. I noticed that before, but its okay! Its estimated knowing the thousandths values will not be significant if tenths and hundredths place will be 0 if you subtract 0.14. ^^

  • Theoretically, it's possible to have such a clock design. In practice, we will however, need to consider the size of the clock (and hence space available) for writing the numbers.

    A GOOD design, I'd say. It breaks us from the familiarity and allows us to see not even mathematics, but also presentation of information around us in a new way and new perspective, since we need to learn to answer questions that have yet to be posed.

  • @Boon: That's really my point why I have this and agree to this clock design...

  • your page link sa link moto http://lifemoto.blogspot.com/2006/06/other-links.html

  • sa fb ko lang yan nakita. selling a design clock like not ? ohh nooo! maloloka ako. haha. though, okay lang. i-imagine ko nlang 1 2 3 4 5 ... parin sila para di ako malito. hahaha. I just can't imagine na ang mga numbers 1 2 3 ... ay naging ganyan. weew!

  • Pwede pala yan eh! :)) HAHAHA! GOOD yan! :))

  • it's complicated but it looks fun.i would love to have that kind of design in my clock too...ei! how about on calendARS? LOL...

  • Can´t have tihs clock at home...hehehe I can´t solve math problem...got to much problem home allready....

    But it´s really a cool wall clock....

  • kaloka naman ang clock na yan!!! naalala ko tuloy ang trigonometry nung highschool.

  • craazzy. lol. yun lang masasabi ko. hahahaha. :)) it kinda reminded me of the show NUMB3RS sa AXN. perhaps you know that or you've heard of it. hehe. :P

  • Ayoko ng ganyan na orasan, sobrang nerdy! lol =)

  • 1. Have you seen this clock's design already out on the market? If not, will this clock's design possible?
    --> I haven't seen such clock at the market, but I believe, maybe someday, this clock's design would be possible.

    2. What will be your rate of this concept of having this new clock's design or background?
    --> Excellent. Just like what you said, it would help people to be immune in numbers and besides, you'll learn to love Math sooner or later because you'll realize, Math is not that hard.

  • @Life: Okay I see it na! THanks ^^

    @Jhen: Oo nga noh! ^^ Hahaha, love to glance always!

    @Juls: Yeah indeed!

    @Jag: Calendars, too much! WoaaH! Sakit na nun!

    @Khim..Lols, I understand!

    @Melody: Me I reminiced my Algebra!

    @Pam: Yeah!

    @David: Hahaha, nerd> Ndi ah!

    @Marinella: Thanks for appreciation ^^

  • This clock could be useful but its complicated! :(

    Tick tock tick tock...

  • Hey, have you ever heard about DYSCALCULIA? It's 'math dyslexia'. Google it!
